Christina Hermanns
Founder and Principal, Christina Hermanns, is most inspired by the warmth and familiarity of island living. Having grown up in the Bahamas, and lived all over the world she brings a unique perspective to design.
The Straw Cabana Studio's design ethos pairs organic and refined elements, bringing to life intimate spaces that evoke a sense of place and a sense of home.

Straw, a naturally cultivated material, is celebrated within Bahamian culture. It imbues warmth and belonging. The word Cabana is defined as a shelter. It is used often to describe an exclusive, elevated and luxurious offering for guests in a hospitality context.

The Studio caters to residential and hospitality clients looking to enhance their lived and shared experiences.
Christina holds a Masters degree in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. She has worked on numerous residential and hospitality projects throughout The Bahamas, Belize, Canada, China, France and the United States.
